The Christmas (Translation) Countdown Begins

Written by Burravoe on November 28, 2013

Holidays are coming, holidays are coming…

The pumpkins have now wilted, the bonfires have been extinguished, there’s a mix of excitement and anxiety in the air as pretty lights start to twinkle across towns and cities.

Lists are being written, stocks of wrapping paper and sellotape have been purchased, the great department store advertising war has commenced on our TVs, children are counting down the days until their next school holiday and we’re all frantically trying to make more room in our freezers for the feast that is soon to be upon us!

It can only mean one thing…Christmas is coming!

So are you ready?

For some, Christmas has been on the agenda since the beginning of the year as hotels and restaurants started planning their next festive packages and menus in January, and logistics and export companies will have been planning their orders and deliveries for months.

As the hospitality industry prepares to welcome international guests from afar over the festive period, Burravoe has been busy translating brochures, menus, websites and welcome letters into a number of different languages.

As business winds down for a few weeks in December, for many it is an opportunity to catch up on those odd jobs you didn’t get around to finishing this year, as well as getting ahead for the New Year. Why not do the latter and use the time to get your next marketing campaign translated so you can hit the ground running when January arrives!
